The oldest Panaderia (baker) in Mijas, Panaderia De Maria Quero has been making bread and traditional Spanish desserts since 1904. A family run business set on the main street that leads to the center of the Village.
Run by Paco, the Mijas bakery is famous for its cakes. They specialize in traditional Spanish cakes such as Madalena made with Olive Oil, Bizcocho, and Rosco de Miel along with excellent Cheesecake and Carrot cake.
They also serve breakfast and lunches and sell good Olive Oils and Wine. We have met many tourists that return every year to visit Paco and his staff at the Mijas bakery, such as their reputation.
Paco also runs a breakfast special, order a small breakfast (Toast/Croissant and Cafe/Tea/Juice) and you will receive a 2nd breakfast for free. Nice way to start the day before you wander around the rest of the beautiful Mijas.
