East 4th Street between 2nd Ave and Bowery is home to more than a dozen diverse arts groups, most of whom have been pioneering tenants of the block for several decades and have outstanding records for artistic innovation, support for emerging artists, and for engaging low and moderate income individuals and families in their programs. Each year, our members’ programs serve more than 1,200 artists and attract an audience of more than 200,000.
