Summer nights in Mijas are very special, the flavors, entertainment, and atmosphere bring many people to our beautiful village and enjoy the Mijas tapa route.
To help visitors discover the many flavors in the village, the town hall has organized the Mijas tapa route, with 16 local bars & cafes offering a tapa and a drink for 1.50€. The Mijas tapa route is open every Monday to Thursday (19:30-23:30).
The town hall has provided every participating bar and cafe with “tapaportes”, a map showing all the bars/cafes taking part. Each bar/cafe will stamp your “tapaporte” and there will be a prize draw for people who have collected all 16 stamps at the end of the summer.
An artisan night market has also been set up in the main plaza and will run every Tuesday and Thursday (20:00-23:30) until August 27th. Music will also be provided in the main plaza and adds to the wonderful summer atmosphere.
Among the 16 local establishments taking part in the Mijas tapa route are Cafe Porras and Restaurant Aroma, you can read more information about many bars and restaurants in Mijas here.
