Upper East Side Attractions

From East 59th Street up to 96th Street is the area known as the Upper East Side. The wealthiest area is Manhattan , it’s bordered on the West by Central Park and by the East River. This area is home to many Museums and older mansion, as well as upscale Madison Avenue shopping. Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum (2 East 91st Street)
Cooper-Hewitt’s collections include design objects and a world-class design library, housed in the 65 room mansion formerly owned by the industrial magnate Andrew Carnegie.

The Frick Collection (1 East 70th Street)
Some of the best paintings from the European masters can be found at the Frick Collection on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Solomon R Guggenheim Museum (1071 Fifth Ave)
Perhaps one of the few art museums where the Building alone would be worth the visit. Collection includes Masterpieces from Chagall, Gauguin, Van Gogh, and Picasso.
