Every year, Mijas village runs its annual Tapa route every Tuesday and Thursday in July and August. The idea is that local bars and restaurants will offer a wide selection of different tapas, the price for a beer and a tapa will only be €2,50.
Numerous bars and restaurants participate every year in the Mijas Tapa route, offering tapas between 19:30 and 23:30. A special feria takes place in the main plaza of Mijas village in July to open the Tapa route. All local businesses taking part have a ‘Rapaport’, a passport that can be stamped at each establishment. Once you have been to all participating establishments and have collected all the stamps, you can hand the card into the town hall in exchange for free entrance tickets for Mijas Water Park. Participants will also be eligible a special raffle.
