The travel agency VIA Reisen is organizing a 3-day cultural trip to Madrid in March to visit the Prado Museum to see the magnificent art collection presented by the “Hermitage” Museum in St. Petersburg. This excursion is offered in collaboration with the Foreigners Department of Mijas Town Hall.
This tour takes you to a fascinating art collection – the Hermitage exposition – which displays various examples of masterpieces from the same-named Russian museum – dating from the 5th century B.C. up to the 20th century. The exhibition includes archaeology, decorative arts, paintings, sculptures, and drawings.
The journey from Málaga to Madrid takes only 2 hours and 40 minutes with the high-speed AVE train. Once in Madrid, an informative and relaxing program awaits you with sightseeing and leisure activities included. There is a lot to see, as Madrid is not only the geographical and political center of Spain, but it also boasts a rich cultural heritage. The capital has one of the most important old towns of Europe, which is integrated harmoniously into the modern infrastructure.
You will be centrally located in accommodation on the Gran Vía, from where you can easily explore this cosmopolitan city on your own. After arriving, we will combine the transfer to the hotel with a sight-seeing tour. You will discover the centre of Madrid including Plaza Mayor and the famous Puerta del Sol in detail the next day with a guided sightseeing tour before visiting the exhibition Hermitage in the Prado.
